Kindle eBooks:
For Kindle Direct Publishing (KDP), authors can choose between two royalty options:
- 35% Royalty: Available for eBooks priced between $0.99 and $200.00. The royalty is calculated as 35% of the book's list price, minus delivery costs (based on file size).
- 70% Royalty: Available for eBooks priced between $2.99 and $9.99. The royalty is calculated as 70% of the book's list price, minus delivery costs (based on file size) and applicable taxes.
Paperback Books:
KDP offers a 60% royalty rate for paperbacks, calculated as follows:
Royalty = (List Price - Printing Costs) x 60% - applicable taxes.
Please note that expanded distribution and sales in certain regions may result in different royalty rates.
